Cruise Ship Security
My wife and I have made it an annual vacation to take a cruise some where in the world and never repeat a trip. This year we took a cruise to include a trip from the Atlantic into the Gatun Locks and a turn around and return to the Atlantic. We did a sail through the canal from the Pacific some time ago.
Have always looked at the security arrangements in port and on ship that focus on a potential terrorist threat.
Leaving U.S. ports there is always U.S. Coast Guard and local law enforcement to protect the ships while at dock side and then escort to open ocean. Unfortunately, there is no such duplication at many Caribbean ports.
